The Nigeria Türkiye Business Council (NBTC) has outlined plans to establish business assistance centres, travel fairs and exhibitions with Türkiye, among other things, by 2023.

Chairman Dele Kelvin Oye Esq shared the Board’s program at his year-end business cocktail in Abuja on Tuesday.

He said the council looks forward to increased trade missions and advocacy for the establishment of industrial parks in Nigeria/Türkiye.

The event was held at the Embassy in Abuja and hosted by the Nigerian Ambassador to Türkiye. Hidayet Bayraktar was a networking and interactive forum detailing NTBC’s activities and journey. A highlight of the event was the acceptance and presentation of membership cards to new members. Presentations were also made to NTBC sponsors and Turkish Embassy staff.

Also in support of bilateral trade relations between Nigeria and Turkiye, the Ambassador announced a special concession to issue multiple entry visas to eligible NTBC members to facilitate trade with Türkiye.

Among the guests was Dr Ibrahim Qana, representing the Honorary Minister of Defense. Nigerian Investment Promotion Council Secretary General, Saratu Umar, Prince Tokumbo Kayode, Former Defense Minister and NTBC Vice-Chair, Hajiya Aisha Abubakar, Former Women’s Affairs Minister and NTBC Vice-Chair, Hakan Ozer, Turkiye Nigeria Business Council Chair, Senior Government Official and Industry Captain.

Part of the statement reads in parts: “The Chairman of the NTBC, Dele Oye Esq. shared the Council’s programme for 2023 which included the establishment of business assistance centres, increase in a number of trade missions, travel business exchanges & expos to and from Turkiye as well as enhanced advocacy towards the establishment of Nigeria Turkiye Industrial Parks in Nigeria.
